The Human Sanctuary

There are various wild life sanctuaries in the world. Be it in the US or in Africa, there are sanctuaries for lions, tigers, wolves, foxes, bison, moose, alligators, fishes, snakes, birds and many more animals. The purpose of having such a sanctuary is to protect the species from extinction. Why they are leading to extinction – because of greedy people. So, what’s the need of a human sanctuary? Who says a human is becoming extinct? In fact, human race is expanding on the ground, in the seas, atop mountains and in the skies. But we feel there is a need to protect the ‘human’ being – the original nature made species called Homo sapiens. Because what we see today as 8 billion population is not of that species, it is a denatured, artificial outcome of a huge factory called the ‘Modern Mankind Culture’. This factory was started thousands of years ago to establish the empire of mankind on the earth and it has now turned into ugly factory of generating genetically modified, degenerated humanoids that are indoctrinated with characteristics such as artificial intelligence, imaginary goals, hallucinations and devilish greed. We are trying to model a perfect human sanctuary here which is strictly quarantined from the billion humanoids. This is the place where the original natural human beings lead an earthly life in symphony with the entire nature. Let us put forward a social picture so that the merits and lacunas can be discussed among all of us.

The purpose of this experiment is to remake the original natural human, expand his population and provide an ecosystem for his sustenance. For this, assume a wide field of 200 km X 150 km is reserved as human sanctuary with proper shield around the boundary so that ‘alien humanoids’ cannot enter there. This field is of course a totally wooded jungle with all natural wild trees and vegetation along with all fauna and flora. This field also houses a variety of animal habitat of herbivore and carnivore sans adulterated animals like cows, bulls, horses, cat and dogs. This field also features all major aspects of the earth viz. plateau, mountains, valley, rivers, ponds, desert, and even seashore. A perfect tropical rainforest field. There would be no human made agro plants like rice, wheat, barley, potato, pulses. In short, this field is just like the virgin earth before rise of mankind from the factory.

In order to raise a pure human race here, we must start with the early infant phase i.e. a pregnant woman. Some such couples with a pregnant woman from the ab origin tribe should be chosen and be admitted in this sanctuary. No support system in terms of medicines or food supplement or clothing should be provided to them – anyway such tribes are living without such support system. Why so early infant stage when the foetus is hardly 2 months age in the womb? We believe that the ill effect of mankind culture starts on the foetus from that stage. Thus by doing so, we ensure no shadow of outside mankind culture on the first seeding of human race. Left to themselves without any intervention or observation from outside aliens, the babies that take birth here would be in the perfect natural setting. First, they will not learn any modern language and second, they will not know any modern things. However, due to their parent’s limited exposure in the past to outside world, there might be still some references to domestic animals and agro food products. But that would be more of ‘historical’ references for the children who won’t make out anything. Another important thing would be that these children would not be brought up with competitiveness for greater living. Due to the surrounding ecosystem and parental guidance, and absence of formal ‘education and value’ system, these children will be born free of any fear of imaginary scarcity or shortcomings. Just like the cubs of other wild animals, they will adopt the ‘worry-free’ lifestyle.

These seed human beings would be far away from the modern world concepts of living in terms of comforts, luxuries, expectations, anxiety and frustration. We see how our happy, innocent babies get indoctrinated with social status, education, wealth possession, competitive advantage, shrewdness, pompousness, discrimination based on caste, creed, religion and gender, exercising power, fear of failure, depression and frustration. The babies are devoid of all of these by birth but acquire these ill characteristics as part of the modern culture. Therefore, our attempt to develop a self-sustainable human sanctuary has to begin with a clean, pure seed which will push the natural element further in future generations. Of course, these children will have no sense of clothing because they will not be taught to be ashamed of nakedness. They will not need cooked food of rice, wheat or cereals because they will learn to eat the natural food available in the natural way. In fact, they will learn very early to obtain their own food like the cubs of other animals do. They will not learn religion or culture or god worship because they are free of any fear. Although they will use their parent’s language initially to communicate, soon they will develop their own language to communicate as adults. But the most important is they will learn to exist with the entire surrounding including the life and nonlife things. Neither will they possess fear of carnivores nor will they devise techniques to hunt the carnivores. In short, this first generation of human beings will start becoming a natural species like all other species without superiority or inferiority complex.

As this generation gets more and more governed under the laws of nature, their sexual behaviour will also reflect the same. They will satiate their sexual desire as part of the call of nature rather than suppressed, bashful activity of unreasonable fantasies. The male and female will have their own criteria of qualifications and semaphore of mating just like peacocks or snakes. The sexual activity will be a consensus of both the partners eliminating use of force or lure. The moral system of marriage and mating will not be present hence question of immoral relations will not exist. The mating period and frequency will also be governed by the rules of nature to regulate the population. During the pregnancy, the couple will handle the responsibility jointly till the time the new born becomes independent of them. After that, the couple will also become free from each other just as they were before mating. This will eliminate lifelong bonding and compulsions resulting from so. This also defines the family culture of this human race. No family. After the new born child can survive on its own, the need for being together of all three will cease to exist. This will make the human beings more free and nomadic to lead a natural stress-free life. The biggest difference would be ‘No Profession’! The mankind has been inventing new professions right since the age of agriculture. With modern education and technologies, the mankind has been obsessed with profession so much so that the profession has become an identity of the man and the profession have been driving the life of the man. With this experiment, there would be no profession; all human will be free birds living without masks, without expectations and without comparison among each other. Although we seem to be impatient to see all these things emerging in the very first seed generation of human, we understand that it might take a few generations to wipe out the stains from the genes of the human. But every generation of humans will be more natural, more free and more human.

OK, you might wonder – what’s the use of all this experiment? If ‘alien’ human beings out this sanctuary are anyway not going to be allowed to enter this, then what’s the point? Well, we believe that this experiment is actually going to serve a much bigger cause for the human race on the earth. We expect the current human race to start dwindling down from its present peak superior position sometime in the future – may be thousand years from now. But that is for sure, with the law of nature prevailing over the entire life on the earth. We expect the human sanctuary to provide and host a protected field for the human race on the earth when it starts fading away in the history. So, this experiment will create a future for the human while nature is scripting a history for mankind. In any case, our future generations will be able to understand the ancient and rare quality of human beings called ‘humanity’ in this sanctuary!

Ladies, you need the attitude of “I CAN”

The great pan-Indian festival of Navaratri (nine-nights worship) is soon to begin which is characterised by the ancient goddess Durga and her prowess that ended the tyrannical rule of the demon Mahishasura. All Indians pay their tributes to the woman power only once in the whole year of religious festivals. All women offer their prayers to this goddess for empowering them with the same courage and ability to fight against the odds that they face almost daily as part of being a woman. Everything being a religious celebration remains as a mock exercise – men expressing gratitude towards women and women seeking empowerment.

While we were thinking as to what leads to or prohibits the woman empowerment, we realized that there is a sparkling example of this in our affinity circle. And, unlike usual examples of extra-ordinary courage or sacrifice, this example is of a very common, ordinary housewife who is also enjoying the life without any sacrifices. Just like any other middle class family, she has been part of a nuclear family with husband and her working in a ‘7 AM to 9 PM’ busy life in the suburbs of Mumbai. She had to raise her two kids from feeding to reading to riding while managing both the house and the office. She did not have the luxury of affluent ‘work-from-home’ IT class women as she was working in an orthodox Public Sector company. But all along, while fighting this battle of living, she was also determined to take control of herself as per her plan. So, when her kids got on their own i.e. when they could ride themselves to their school / college, she decided to say quits to her sucking job. Everything was as per her plan and without affecting any lifestyle or prospects of the family and yet she had to face a lot of resistance from several quarters – from loving near and dear ones to opportunistic office colleagues. Any ordinary Hindu woman would have budged under this ‘loving and caring’ pressure, but she stood strong on her decision.

What makes us think of her as a sparkling example of woman empowerment is her astonishing flight into her freedom since then for the last five years. She still loves and cares her family like before for their basic needs of feeding and housekeeping. But she attends to her own desires and needs of living a free life too. She strives to live equally empowered as men. She drives the car, but she also rides the bike. Yes, the Bajaj or Hero bike of her husband and son. Therefore, she is not crippled if her son takes her scooter for some reason; she rides on his bike to go for her own task. She is quite social among the neighbourhood and often invited to talk in local functions like Ganeshotsav or Gurupournima. Her vast reading and rational thinking provides her with unique advantage of knowing larger picture of the world and her talk leaves the audience thinking a lot. She is a regular writer of ‘letters to editor’ of a leading newspaper and her writings provide a crisp and objective critique of the subject. Her writings are even eye opener for us about how to be strong yet polite in making an opinion so that the dialog does not end. She is a firm non-believer in the customs and rituals that are followed in her family for generations and after a long struggle, she has succeeded in discontinuing some of them such as ‘Haldi-kunku’ at least for herself. At the same time, she has ensured a smooth participation in some of the rituals at her ancestral home to maintain a cordial and happy relationship. We understand there are many women in our neighbourhood, who think the same about the rituals and customs but are compelled to continue them as they do not have courage to utter a word against.

Most remarkable was her recent dive into the financial management of her own money. She started being a reluctant and unknowledgeable investor confined to banks and post offices, with occasional venture into corporate fixed deposits. But after watching us into hectic investment activities in various avenues, she decided to handle this ‘difficult’ part of life. We could see her determination and commitment over the past two months and we would like to acknowledge her serious efforts. Understanding and executing financial domain is a tedious, non-creative and no-fun job. Doing it for oneself is more testing because there are no revenues, no fun. We have seen many of the successful and willing male acquaintances not been able to handle their financial domain after enough guidance. As for women, we conducted a small survey among few women in our acquaintance to fathom their financial acumen and willingness to know more – it was a double negative, meaning they were confident of their ‘best knowledge of investing’ and not willing to get into the hassles of any other understanding in this domain. In this context, when we saw her struggling to open an account in a smart bank for online transacting, it was an ‘Aha’ moment. When we saw her going on foot to mutual fund offices in her city, it was a running case of her determination. When we saw her fighting with mutual fund customer service for getting online access, it was an inspiration for us to fight for a cause relentlessly. All this was under our close guidance daily on email or phone and she was happy to perform her act as told to her by us. We also gave her some thumb rules for her investing. Meanwhile, her husband also entrusted into her to make his own investments online. This was truly the acknowledgement of her ‘go getter’ attitude and commitment to the cause. Finally, we asked her to take decisions on her own for a day yesterday, as we were out of ‘business’ town into a remote area. We told her this as her first test. And we are totally pleased today to see how she handled the things on her own yesterday.

Therefore, we see her as a sparkling example of woman empowerment which is applicable and adaptable by most common women in their common day-to-day walk of life. She doesn’t deserve a gallantry award, but certainly today’s Indian women need this kind of empowerment more than high end or gallant display. Small women, small freedom, small empowerment. And what is the recipe for this? We need to ask her before publishing this, but we know the driving force clearly. It was her conviction, her passion and her courage to get empowered.

The secret lies within you yourself, ladies! You need to shed the inhibition of ‘how can I’ and resolve with ‘Yes, I can’. You need to snub the men dominance and strive to do the things. You need to reject the physical limitations being a female and behave like an equal human being. You have to meet an eye to eye with the males who challenge your capabilities instead of submitting resignedly to give up your chance.

After all, that is what goddess Durga might have done while fighting the rough battle with demon Mahishasura, isn’t it?

Choosing the battle wisely

Our friend Ulhas has been complaining for few days of the rising euphoria that he is witnessing from the upcoming festivals starting from ShriKrishna Janmashtami through Diwali. (What a sentence having 5 present continuous verbs!) Unfortunately, he is not just left with witnessing, but suffering too. The so called religious fervor, effervescent youth, musical background, huge pandals, large processions with band and what not, but coupled with sound / air pollution, roadside digging, traffic hurdles and unavoidable crowd. Some sections of the society support the festive celebrations in grand scale in public with a point as this is Indian society way of living social life. Some other sections of the society oppose the public nuisance created by this kind of forceful celebrations with a view of sacrifice of individual life during this period. This debate has been going on and will continue forever. No debate, no law, nor any court order will end this social situation appearing every year.

So, we tried to go to the roots of these peculiar phenomena that are characteristic of Indian society only. Although there are some celebrations - cultural or religious - in other societies of the world, nowhere else it seems to have reached this peak contradiction. There are huge gatherings in Mecca every year, but no one in or around Saudi Arabia seems to have complained about that. In England, we could see a complete frenzy in the crowd on the streets and pubs on a Friday night when Man U has a playoff with Chelsea. But the family men and women were taking all that lightly without any brawl. In US, although we have not seen large crowds in the streets on any occasion, but we have witnessed laughter riots and softball throws in office pulling serious workers out of their cabins without any curse. Of course, these incidents are not comparable to Indian celebrations in number and intensity. But still there are no words of protest or agony. Then what is the case with Indian celebrations?

Our analysis indicates that basically the problem is due to selective affinity towards the society. Everyone in India wants to live in society - be it a social neighborhood of a slum or be it a well knit affinity group of kulsamiti (ancestral brotherhood). This is irrespective of the caste, creed, education, economic status or geography. There are hardly any persons who live with individualism - i.e. with a total freedom of their own. Most of us are always with the society and think as per prevalent theme in the society. For example, if the theme in the society is to buy a LCD/LED TV dumping old box TV, everyone goes with this theme. So much that the TV companies stop manufacture of box TVs. Someone refusing to go in this direction in spite of affordability, is considered as outlaw in the society. In fact, everyone fears of being outlaw if he or she does not follow the theme in the society. With this fear of being left out of the society, everyone finds a comfortable affinity group around them - a kind of cocoon. Sometimes, the boundary of such an affinity group expands so large that it encompasses the entire society. The religious festivities fall under such expanded boundary due to common ethos of a very large community.

But then why does the conflict happen? Because of selective affinity. In old era, say till 1980's, there were not many choices available for affinity - only choices were religious or political, that's it. So, the friction between the affinity was limited to religions or politics. During those days, we could see very large religious gatherings and political gatherings. As also very dangerous riots. But with the modern life style ushering in since 1980's, new choices of affinity are coming into existence. These are based on caste, economic status, geography but many are going across these parameters with new parameters like shopping, entertainment (movies, TV soap, sports), alumni (education, place of origin), profession, hobby. Now that there are so many choices available, one can be part of multiple affinity groups of his or her own choice, thus giving richer experience of living together with like-minded. But this experience also reduces the space in one's mind to accommodate other affinity groups, to endure the choices of others. Thus one can tolerate the frenzy crowd on the streets at midnight celebrating India's win of Cricket World Cup even though not being part of them, but the same person cannot tolerate a smaller crowd dancing in a corner of a street on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. This is selective affinity.

Afterall, Indian mindset is still in very primitive state of herd. Everyone is programmed to think and act in large group with the ancient fear of unknown. Or ancient wisdom of 'together we are unbeatable'. Many great thinkers in the freedom fight of India tried to ignite minds, but failed. Only Mahatma Gandhi knew this herd mindset of the people and he succeeded in getting masses coming out on streets together without any weapons to protest the British regime. The individual freedom is not respected - rather the social themes take precedence over the individual freedom. With explosion of choices for diverse lifestyles, the conflict in the affinity groups is going to rise.

So, we suggest Ulhas to drop this battle of opinion against public festive celebrations because there are going to be many such conflicts thrown upon him.

Wealth Is Wealth

We have been hearing “Health is Wealth” in length and breadth since childhood. But what people around us religiously follow is – Wealth is wealth!

Recently I read in a newspaper that despite economy slowdown, the number of ultra-high networth individuals (UHNI) in India has increased some 15% to 130,000 or so. A person is UHNI if he/she has accumulated wealth of over Rs. 25 Crores (USD 4.2 million). And the combined wealth of all these UHNI (in India only) amounts to some 50-60 trillion rupees. Ah, it looks like more and more people are getting wealthy despite so called economic doom or gloom. So, for a ‘Below UHNI’ person like me, question is what is this WEALTH? How is it obtained? And how is it disposed? Most importantly, what is the purpose of obtaining so much of wealth?

Here is the definition of wealth from Wikipedia: Wealth is the abundance of valuable resource or material possessions.

Here is an interesting anecdote from Encyclopaedia Britannica that quotes the famous American wealthy man Andrew Carnegie in his Gospel of Wealth: a man who accumulates great wealth has a duty to use his surplus wealth for the improvement of mankind in philanthropic causes. A man who dies rich dies disgraced.

Well, in my simplistic viewpoint, wealth is those excess possessions which are over and above what is needed for normal peaceful living. As I am not a great philosopher or UHNI for that matter, my viewpoint is only with me. But one thing is crystal clear – the concept of wealth is relative as also subjective. For someone, wealth might mean hectors of land owned, for some other land may mean only dirt, whereas precious metals and stones would mean wealth. This is ‘subjective’ characteristic of wealth. The ‘relative’ characteristic of wealth is quite interesting.

For one who has just come out of a drought village into a city slum, having a tin roof and walls is a dream of wealth because he strays on the roadside spending night on the sidewalk. But for one who is living in a congested dwelling made out of tin sheets, the wealth is a dream of getting into a concrete 2-room flat having proper door and window, even though toilet is public shared. He does not seem to consider himself wealthy from the perspective of the one who is out on the sidewalk. This relative quality of ‘having wealth’ keeps on going to the higher and higher layers of the people. We know that the richest person in India has recently developed a ’38-storey building’ house for himself to live! We also read in news that a IT tycoon in India owns more than 700 apartments in the US. My viewpoint about wealth is built based on these examples – anything more than one house is unnecessary surplus in those 38 storeys or 700 apartments. That’s why that is considered as their wealth.

If wealth means surplus unnecessary possessions, what’s the purpose of acquiring wealth? If it is a pure curiosity to collect fascinating things just like a child which collects marbles and shells, I admire that purpose. A child gets immense satisfaction by collecting his ‘wealth’. As a child, I was so victorious and joyful to collect wealth of marbles and empty cartons of cigarettes. But I doubt if such innocent is the purpose of gathering wealth of the grown up men and women. Who can believe that someone constructed 38-storey building as a house, just out of innocent curiosity? Who can believe that someone maintains 50 luxury cars in their stable just out of curiosity? And can it be considered a simple child’s play to treasure hundreds of precious ornaments in one’s custody? Even the owner of wealth would not take this. So, what’s the good purpose of acquiring so much of excess, surplus wealth? Why so many folks boil their blood and exploit others to earn this unnecessary, practically useless (not worthless) material?

I am at loss to answer this question, can you answer?

Neo Socialism

A new era of 'social'ism has begun and that too from the land that boasts itself to have 'Capitalism Unlimited'! You guessed it, I am talking about the social networking. But you guessed it wrong that I am going to write the same routine stuff about social media that has been written over and over again. I am looking at this phenomena from a different perspective of 'Neo Socialism'. A perspective that is different from those of fun, entertainment, connectedness and hype. A perspective that considers social, economical and political aspects of the society in this era of social media.

So what is 'neo socialism'? For those of you of my age who have seen the 'bookish socialism' in India, Russia and other countries of 1960s and 1970s, it is nostalgic but I would mention about it here for the benefit of GenX and GenY who started their first grade education after collapse of Berlin wall. The socialism was poetic, dreamlike concept then. For many youngsters who committed themselves to the socialist movements, it was also romantic sometimes leading to attaining life partners! Yet, it was a cause of a burning motivation for the majority of the youth population then. Take the Che Guevera movement in Latin America or Jai Prakash Narain movement in India. The underlying theme was the same - socialism; the manifestation of the movement was the same - a large number of youth belonging to various strata of the society. The street marches, public gatherings, protests, anti establishment communiques, peaceful suffering from governing forces - yet with a modesty and self restraints in action. It was never like a raging mutiny with guns and bombs, never a ruthless revolt with heads rolling on the earth in the pool of blood. That was the socialism of the yesteryear.

The new age social media and networking is an advanced adopted version of the same socialist culture. It is quite poetic and romantic with 'likes' and 'lol's on the facebook. This leads to modern age love stories, which I heard from one of my GenY colleague. In his words:
"My roommate was very sad one day. As he was in 'virtual' love with a girlfriend, I asked him, what's wrong Romeo? He said, she has left me, she 'unfriend' me on facebook after a small argument last night over dinner."
That's the way the love messages are being conveyed. This was just for a fun part of my topic. But, look at so many communities on FB, twitter, whatsapp, wechat and their country specific siblings. There are so many passionate subjects, posts, comments, replies, likes, dislikes. And these are not limited only to trivia and general social life. Take case of Arab Spring that started from Tunisia and swept across Egypt, Libya, Syria and everywhere mid-west. Most of the mobilization of messages and thoughts happened over social media. It was impossible otherwise in the kind of regime in those countries. Some concluded that the social media campaign was orchestrated by the 'fifth columnists in the west', but same was also true when French revolution happened in which Marquis De Laffayette brought the concepts of civil war for freedom from his participation in the great American war of freedom. Consider 'Occupy Wallstreet' movement in the US and Europe. Thousands of youth in these so called developed nations got together to protest the distorted social order that was protecting the big sharks at the cost of job loss for average youth. Take the case of 'Jan Lokpal' movement of Anna Hazare et al in India in 2011-12. The entire political rank and file of the country was watching in awe the huge gathering of genuine people on the streets of New Delhi without any 'powerful' political leader doing 'yaketi-yak' speeches in front. These were the real people who took to streets not because they were poor or hungry or oppressed. There were poor class as well as higher middle class, there were illiterate as well as  highly educated, there were students as well as successful business folks among them. The common theme was to let the establishment know that they understood being fooled at. And this large public gathering was happening with widely seen images from TV screens as well as unseen messages of facebook, twitter, whatsapp etc.

Hence I see a 'neo socialism' emerging with the tools of social networking media spreading through newer devices like tablets, smartphones and what not.  This neo socialism is already seen breaking the walls of caste, creed, religion, economic strata thereby proving the basic tenet of socialism - Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. 

While on the topic I would like to share something of my own. Back in 1999, when I was in Bay Area US, due to homesickness I was desperately dreaming of getting connected with good old friends.  At that time an idea had striken me to launch a public website where people could register themselves along with their past schools, colleges and employers information.  This would allow easy building of alumni over internet.  Had I realised this dream at that time, it could have been ' Makarand Hiralikar' in place of ' Mark Zukerburg ' .

Key of achieving health and fitness

Recently, we attended a marriage in close relation, event was over a night and a day. It was a reunion of variety of relatives so we wanted to attend to benefit from the company of rare ones. As we were the only ones too thin amongst a crowd of hefty, meaty folks, we were bombarded with several questions from many. From folks of half of our age and folks of 1.5 times our age. From genuine admirers and from sarcastic old nuts. Considering the happy-merry atmosphere of celebration, we answered in lighter tone without confrontation with anyone. But we thought of reproducing some of the questions in this blog and give an appropriate answer. Although we are not answerable to anyone apart from self for the lifestyle we have chosen.

Q1: How have you achieved so much slimness of body? Diet, exercise, gym? (genuine)

Yes, we have controlled our diet with respect to how much and what do we eat. Not only that, we have also imbibed a discipline in our dining timings. Exercise and yoga are definitely our routine, but that is not just for “slimness”. Most importantly, we have stopped thinking, talking, planning of culinary treats – of eating out, of various spicy foods, of exciting recipes. This is important because most of folks (including us, till a year ago) are actively involved in food throughout or most of the time. As if one’s mind is slave of food. This causes craving, insecurity, dissatisfaction – all in the mind, not in stomach or tongue. These folks keep on talking about various food items, recipes etc for long periods, their mind and thought is occupied with food. We stopped this and gave the same importance to food that we give to daily bath. We have freed ourselves from slavery of food and this in turn has paid us rich in achieving our slimness, mind-body harmony and physical fitness. This was difficult to say in the marriage function where most of the time, all folks were engaged in talking or eating food!

Q2: Doing yoga hasn’t brought the aura on you, why? (sarcastic from a notorious old lady)

The direct answer is “you are stupid to verify this way, we have got a tremendous aura inside us, not outside”. But being objective, we have experienced the power of yoga and meditation after a prolonged consistent practise. We might be looking same old dumb ass from outside, but we feel a flame lit inside us. The guiding flame. It gives us the realization of self. Who I am and why I am. Once this fundamental enlightenment happens, the clamp of petty issues gets loosened. Then it doesn’t matter how much we earn, what is our position, how much we spend or how attractive do we look. The aura, light, divinity that is seen outside on the body is seldom an indicator of purity inside. We are for the inner purity rather than external halo. Because this inner purity, the flame inside us gives us the best of psychological and physical health. Again, it was impossible to get this into the muddy head of the inquirer because her head was full of impurity and darkness.

Q3: Do you get weakness, sickness, fragility due to such weight and size reduction? (genuine concern for us)

No, not at all. The terms of weakness-powerfulness, sickness-healthiness, fragility-sturdiness are relative and subjective. Earlier when we were hefty and well built, we ‘appeared’ to have lot of power in our body, but it was of no use had there been an instance of bodily confrontation with a thug. At that time, though we looked ‘healthy’, we were getting sick once in a month. So, the external appearance is not an indicator of the internal characteristic. In the same way, though we might seem to be weak bodily, we have much better strength and power for daily life – we will still not be able to have a road fight with a thug, but that is not a path we want. With our improved strength, now we can better tackle various situation with calm and logical approach. Now we have developed (or reinvented) our immunity system such that common diseases do not touch us, even if occasionally something happens, we know how to cure the anomaly and how to heal self. So, we are actually much better off in terms of power, strength, immunity, healing.

Our idea is not to preach here but present an explanatory neutral note. The change of lifestyle for achieving mental-physical balance cannot be taught by someone from outside, it has to establish from within oneself. The key of achieving this goal is self-control through self-realization.
