Nemesis

Why this strange name "Noah's Lab"?
Well, we find the striking similarity in the social situation we are facing with the one prior to Noah's great rescue from apocalypse! You would know how once upon a time in the then world, an angel gave a god-sent message to Noah about ensuing apocalypse and how Noah built an arc to save the life from extinction. We feel the efforts similar to Noah's while he was building the arc, are warranted NOW! Since NOW is reality, there is no angel and god-sent message, but there are disturbing signals coming from mother nature. Also, a single handed, heroic effort of Noah is not scientific approach feasible in modern world, hence we call it as a laboratory. A laboratory of performing societal analyses, noting macro level observations, debating the inferences and brain storming possible recommendations.
The building of society, correction of structure whenever necessary and rebuilding the structure had been shouldered in earlier ages by great humans like mythological David, Jesus, Gautam Budhdha and Confucious. In recent history, similar tasks were carried out at localized level by Maharshi Karve, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King et al. These were great social engineers who sacrificed their personal ambitions for this great cause. But in current state, we do not see such folks anymore. There are social foundations and institutes borrowing the great names, but not performing the responsibility. In fact, the most of the social service spectrum (autonomous institutes, govt sponsored cells, NGO's, charity, missions and so on) is nowadays focusing merely on fund-raising and fund disbursement. However, it is hard to believe that we have reached a perfect, ideal social structure which has no trouble at all. So who is looking at the big picture?
Therefore this blog is to put forward some of our observations, analyses and hypotheses for debate. You might ask, who has authorized us for this or what's the point of doing this if there is no decision making power to us. Well, we don't care if we or someone else has the authorization and we do not get discouraged by not having the power of execution. We have the great insticts, intellect and intuition and we would like to just put it forward. By the way, this attitude of "what's the point" is actually one of the biggest crime being committed by knowledged folks in the society today!
That's it about this name and the intent of this blog. We are trying to do our bit. Both of us have great minded friends in various fields of the society. We bank upon them to contribute their bits into this discussion. Who knows, after some time, this forum would be a rich set of social tools for practical application. Till then, lets communicate - read, think and write!

  1. Nishi & Sandhya,

I liked the nemesis. Its begining gives direction and the last paragraph projects excellent attitude. It can best be described as,

    "मै अकेला ही चला था जानिबे मंजिल मगर,
    लोग साथ आते गए और कारवा बनता गया"!

I will defintely contribute everthing that will come to mind and it will be honest

  2. Dear Nishi & Sandhya
    Good block once again.
I liked perfect comment from Ulhas.
I don't think I can comment anything on it at the moment.
Only one thought: During Noha he had definite task to save life to extinct. Almost Everybody followed him Gandhi had definite task of making India free from Britishers. Not everybody followed him. There were differences of opinion. And now .....
Above chronology, somwwhat shows the trend. And this trend can be made upside down only by KRANTI.
